From random switches to a planned network
The office had a mix of switches and modems and no network plan. I made the case for a proper router and new access points, then set up separate VLANs for the wired network and the Wi-Fi.
Experience / WebCastle Media and Zoople Technologies
I was the lead IT administrator for WebCastle Media and its subsidiary, Zoople Technologies, an IT training institute. I looked after both at once.
The office had a mix of switches and modems and no network plan. I made the case for a proper router and new access points, then set up separate VLANs for the wired network and the Wi-Fi.
When the internet provider had outages and IP address changes, I moved the office to the secondary connection. I then worked with the provider's technical team and the router vendor's support team to reconfigure the setup.
When a new office space first opened, I travelled there to plan the network side.
